February Blues

February blues go back to bed.
I'm not here I'm out of my head.
I'm so blue I'm turning purple and red.

February blues disregard all I've said.
My lips are moving without any sound.
I'm as dark as the water waiting underground.

Some day I've had.
Some day I've had.

February blues I'm pacing my bed.
A snails-paced eternity coursing with dread.
If I didn't fear it I'd rather be dead.

February blues I'm one foot in the door.
Of insanity another foot of snow.
Locked up indoors 72 hour nights.

Some day I've had.
Some day I've had.

February blues if the snow won't end.
I'll put my thoughts down in pen.
So I can read them next year when December comes.

February blues white walls.
Inside outside up and down the halls.
I feel I need a rescue to get me through.
